My latest journey started innocently, as so many do.
I used ChatGPT to generate images of my girls and their friends as D&D characters, or Hogwarts students.
They loved it.
The requests came pouring in.
Make Mikayla fire magic missles from her eyes. I want to ride a velociraptor.
Then … tell me a story about it.
I’ve always been a storyteller, and that was all the prompting I needed to grt my imagination flowing.
Months later, my first fantasy novel, The Patchwork Storyteller, in in the feedback stage with a goal to publish late spring.
It’s “Bright fantasy”. Not young adult. Not grimdark. Not cozy. Approachable by anyone who loves adventure and wonder and magic, from teens to grandparents.
Book 2 is already in progress.
Wow, definitely not what I expected. But it’s those unexpected journeys that have the greatest rewards.
The artwork has evolved massively too. I’ll share some soon.
Much more to come.
